Winter wonderland in London.

I just want to start by saying Merry Christmas to all. I hope you all had a lovely time with your family.

Every year my brother and I go into London to celebrate our father’s birthday as mentioned in the previous post. We agreed that it was important to celebrate his life and enjoy the life we were given. We made this our tradition that every year we go for a meal and have a drink because that was something our father used to love doing.

When we got there it was really busy but that’s the same every year. You can see the rides from miles away. The lights and decorations were so pretty. Everyone was so cheerful and enjoying their time with their family and friends it was a nice atmosphere.

We mainly wanted to get the German hotdogs I don’t know why but we love it there. We had some Swedish meatballs too but who doesn’t love meatballs right. Even though it’s cold in London the food kept us warm. We didn’t spend too much time there because it is quite expensive. If any of you ever travel to London around Christmas, I would recommend visiting winter wonderland at least once just for the experience.

Feel free to share what you guys did this Christmas or did something interesting with your family.

  1. Wow! I had never heard of this. Pretty neat…and I like you and your brother’s tradition of remembering/celebrating your father’s life at this time of year. My maternal grandfather was such a person in my life, and he passed away when I was 18. I wish I could say I missed him less, but I don’t, and at times I miss him even more. But the pain isn’t as intense anymore. This time of year was his favorite, and I have so very many wonderful memories of him.

  2. 2nd Christmas without Dad. Went a bit better this time. Still missed him like crazy, but it was not so new. We had done it before, so it was just a little bit easier.
I stayed last at Mom’s with Sis. We did break up until about 2-2:30Am. Cold ride home. It was so very cold, but clear. Nice memories for the most part.
